Anna Clara Petracca is a multidisciplinary artist and researcher. With a PhD in Media Arts from the Beira Interior University (2022) and a BA in Cinema and Video from the State University of Paran\u00e1 (2018), her PhD thesis focused on The subversion of identity through self-representation in women's video art. In 2016, she participated in the mobility program between the Cinema and Video course at the State University of Paran\u00e1 (Curitiba, Brazil) and the European master\u2019s degree in Documentary Filmmaking at the Lusophone University of Humanities and Technology (Lisbon), making her first film, Corpo, which premiered at the Film Festival of the International Biennial at the Curitibas\u2019s Cinematheque.<\/p>\n
She has presented papers and articles in Congresses, Conferences and Seminars. In 2017\/2018 she was resident artist at Galeria AIREZ, in Curitiba, where she premiered the video installation\/video performance XX\/XXI at the International Biennial of Curitiba. She has participated in the production of film festivals such as Porto Femme International Film Festival (Porto, PT) and Fid\u00e9 Brazil \u2013 International Student Documentary Festival. She was photography director and camera operator on the feature film A Alma do Gesto (2020), directed by Eduardo Baggio and Juslaine Abreu-Nogueira, screened in over 16 festivals in 11 countries. Between 2015 and 2018, she worked as a freelancer in assisting and directing photography in the audio-visual field.
