Eduardo Paz Barroso is a Full Professor of Communication Sciences at the FCHS of Fernando Pessoa University, in Porto. He is a researcher at the LabCom center at the Beira Interior University. He obtained his Aggregate degree from the Arts and Letters Faculty of the Beira Interior University (2009). He holds a PhD in Communication Sciences from the FCSH of the Lisbon Nova University (2002) and a degree in Philosophy from the Arts Faculty of the Porto University (1986). He is a cultural and artistic programmer in many public and private institutions, by invitation, and has presented multiple conferences. He chaired the show centre Coliseum Porto, appointed by the Porto Municipality, Ministry of Culture and Metropolitan Area of Porto (2014-20). He was the first director of S\u00e3o Jo\u00e3o Nacional Theater (1992-95). He was a collaborator of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation's SBAL, was a professional journalist and integrated the panel of juries of the Portuguese Institute for Cinema and the Audiovisual. He writes about arts, cinema, literature, and media studies.<\/p>\n
