A PhD student in Arts \u2013 Performing Arts and the Moving Image at the Lisbon University and Lisbon Polytechnic Institute, and Master in Cinematographic Project Development, in the specialty of Dramaturgy and Directing and Degree in Cinematographic Editing, by School of Theatre and Film, dhe holds the title of Specialist in Arts \/ Cinema \/ Editing by the Lisbon Polytechnic Institute. She worked as a film professional in editing, directing and annotation. She directed several short fiction films and documentaries that were shown in festivals around the world and on television. Her first film, Kilandukilu\/Divers\u00e3o (1998), received an honourable mention at the Vila do Conde International Short Film Festival. The short film A Ferida (2003) and the documentary Muitos Dias tem um M\u00eas (2010) were awarded in national festivals and had their commercial debut. The documentary for television Design Behind Bars received the Best Transfrontera Documentary Award at the Extrema&#039;Doc International Festival. Gipsofila (2015), besides other national and international awards, received the Special Jury Award at the Turin International Festival.
