Claudia Clemente

Claudia Clemente holds a degree in Architecture from the Porto Faculty of Architecture and studied Cinema in Barcelona and Lisbon. She works in film writing and directing, dividing her work between fiction and documentary. She has published nine books – short stories, theatre, novel, photography, and biography – as well as numerous texts (articles and short stories) in newspapers and magazines. Her play Londres won the S.P.A./Teatro Aberto Theatre Grand Prize in 2011. Her novel A Casa Azul was a finalist for the Time Out Book of the Year Award and the Correntes d'Escritas Literary Award in 2016. Her transposition into telefilm won the award for Best Adapted Screenplay at the Festival Caminhos do Cinema Português. She has written, produced, directed, and edited several short films. Her documentary &etc. was awarded at the Doc Lisboa festival. She works regularly as a screenwriter, being the author of screenplays for feature films, such as Snu, and co-author of series such as A espia. She wrote and directed several TV movies for RTP and OPTO/SIC. She exhibits her photographic work since 2014 and has been teaching Film and Writing since 2007
