Ana Rita Capucho is one of the founders and co-Director of Porto Femme – International Film Festival, programmer of Femme Sessions and Shortcutz Aveiro. She works as a producer and curator in cultural organizations. She works as a trainer in film, creative writing, and performance. She participates as a jury in several international film festivals. She has a degree and a master in Artistic Studies from the Arts Faculty at Coimbra University and is a member of the work group "Artistic Currents and Intellectual Movements" of CEIS20 – Centre for Interdisciplinary Studies of the 20th Century at Coimbra University and the group Image, Art, Ethics and Society at the Pará Federal University. Member of MUTIM – Associação das Mulheres Trabalhadoras da Imagem em Movimento.
