She was responsible for the implementation of the equality plan of UBI (UBIgual 2011 project), pioneer in Portugal. She works on promoting gender equality both in higher education and in the local community, participating in projects such as VELEDA (a socio-artistic approach to single- parent women) and until 2021 as president of the UBI Equality Commission (CI-UBI), in an action-research approach on gender, higher education and organizational change in the university environment. Currently, she is interested in the connections between mobilities, memory and culture.
