Pedro Pinto de Oliveira is a PhD in Communication from the Minas Gerais Federal University (UFMG) and a post-doctoral in Communication and Arts at the Beira Interior University (UBI), Portugal. He holds a graduation in Journalism and a master’s in Communication Sciences from the São Paulo University (USP), is associate researcher at the Mato Grosso Federal University (UFMT) and a professor in the Graduate Programs in Communication (PPGCOM) and in Contemporary Culture Studies (ECCO), both at UFMT. Member of the Multimodal Academic Communication Task Force of IAMCR; of the GT of Events and Public Figures at Compós; of the GT of Communication and Politics of the Portuguese Association of Communication Sciences (SOPCOM) and of the GT Theories and Methods of Communication Research of the Spanish Association of Communication Research (AE-IC), he leads the Multimundos Research Group. He develops research on Communication and Politics, Events and Public Figures, Audiovisual Essays, Academic Podcasts, and Cinematographic Journalism.
