Associate Professor at the University of Minho (Portugal), where she is a lecturer in the Department of English and North-American Studies. Currently, she is Vice-Dean of the School of Arts and Humanities and deputy director of the Centre for Humanistic Studies. Her research focusses on Literary Studies (modernist and contemporary literature), as well as on Film Studies, with a focus on Gender and Women’s Studies. She is the author of two books and of several book chapters and journal articles in her areas of interest.
