Workshop promoted by Maria Clara Escobar and held between the 19th and 21st of April 2023from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm, at the Fernando Pessoa University, as part of the VI edition of the Porto Femme International Film Festival (Porto, April 18th to 23rd, 2023).

The workshop aimed at deepening reflections upon the relationships established between the “I” and the “other” in filmmaking, as a way of thinking about what are the forms of self-portrait, representation, and meeting when it comes to creating a film, whether documentary or fiction.

The initiative was associated with the masterclass The Possible Multiforms of the Self in Film, on display at the at the Faculty of Arts and Letters of University of Beira Interior, on April 18, 2023, as well as with the Maria Clara Escobar Exhibition, at Casa Comum – Cultura U. Porto from April 19 to 21, 2023.
